Software that kills PCs!

I have bought my first PC a week ago. So you can tell that I am a complete newbie in this world. Computer works fine but I am frightened with stories about malicious software, viruses and such which can damage your computer. I have heard stories about viruses that can even kill PC. I installed antivirus, antispyware and firewall software but I still do not feel safe enough. Can you tell me how to protect myself from software that kills PC?

Dont be paranoid, please. There is no such thing as software that can kill your PC. In fact it is almost impossible to make software that can damage hardware parts in your computer unless you are running over and over software that has some malicious intents or software that is not designated for your hardware. Even in this cases there is very, very slim chance your hardware will be damaged. I think that you are protected enough with all that anti software and you do not need to worry. Just watch what are you doing on internet and everything will be fine.
