| It sounds dumb, I know, but that's what's been happening. Every time I try playing a video file (larger than a 1MB short video clip, I suppose), the performance of the whole machine starts to slow down, until it all grinds down to a halt. I have to do a hard reboot just to restore things. It's nmot overheating, because I replaced my fans and slapped on more thermal paste, ut that didn't change a thing. Any thoughts? |

When asking for advice on matters like these, you should post some system specs at least. What's your CPU, motherboard, HDD, PSU? WHat kind of RAM are you using, and how much of it?
Make sure you have the latest drivers for all your hardware, and also download a recent release of some free video codecs, like the K-Lite pack.
