Hi, all. I just tried Firefox for the first time, and I must say, I’m not too thrilled. It looks and feels pretty much like IE anyway, with just a few modifications. Besides, it takes more time to load a page then either IE or Opera – I tested all three browsers on the same page, and Firefox definitely was the slowest. I don’t get what all the hype is about, unless I’m missing something.

Trust me, the similarities between Ffx and IE are just superficial. Most differences aren’t where you can see them, which is a good thing, since most are security-related anyway.
About your specific issue, the page loading speed: Firefox is gecko-based, which means among other things that it’s set to first load all the text from a web page, and only then the images, so that’s why it might appear that it’s loading slower. There’s a way to reset this to the standard (both images and text at the same time), though I can’t remember exactly how ATM…
