I usually use Yahoo for email.
When I need to download an attachment, I get speeds as slow as 1.5 kb/sec to the fastest about 9KB/sec.
However if I forward the same email to gmail, and download it there, I get speeds of maybe 180kb/sec.
I am on a DCSL connection.
Visiting web sites is also slow.
I use Vista with Firefox. I have tried with no anti virus software and with no Windows firewall, but seen no appreciable difference.
Hotmail performs the same as Yahoo.
Any ideas?
