Hello! I saw many complains on that matter, and I guess Microsoft try to improve the system and go to in some upper lever didnât worked well somehow. Even though some experts disagree that Vista does that to Internet connection, fact still remains that older Windows system models didnât have trouble going with the Internet speedâs flow, without lower it down like Vista.. The problem starts âcause Vista is providing two versions of Internet protocol (sending the information over the computer network technology standard). If you start using the Vista your DNS(domain name system) traffic is going to double. With all the other DSN users that are sharing with you your connection that could increase speed to the
âgoing nuts how slow it isâ level. Vista is a first version that provides new IP version 6 which provides a billions more IP addresses and allows many more computer devices to link in the same time ( broader range of IP addresses). Previous IPv4 allowed his data pockets 32 bits of address space, while IPv6 went to 128 bits, allowing easiest connectivity across the Internet, and make some other problems about translation addresses and fuss about extra management for solving some application incompatibility problem gone. The flaw with that Vista plan is that OS is not used by many people at this moment, so it is making
two DSN requests, one for each version ( IPv4 and IPv6). Looking For IPv4 address then IPv6 address could slower the connection, and that will most probably happen âtill the supply for Vista system doesnât increase to some higher point of being universally used. But then again move that Microsoft made with Vista is in a way crucial and could solve the problem of over-crowded DNS traffic.
Well, canât blame them for trying to be one step ahead. |
