Slow File transfer and download speed

Recently my file transfer and download speeds are very slow. I have noticed that in a past few days I can not download things from internet at maximum speed. I have T1 connection, but download speed is around 75KB/sec. Also, file transfer over home network is significantly slower. For operations that used to take 3 or 4 minutes I need more then 15 minutes now. Hat is your opinion about this problem?

Hello. One of possible causes for such file transfer and download speed decrease are viruses. If you have worms on your computer then they are using bandwidth as much as they can. If they have spread then they can cause significant downgrade of network performance. So, check your system for viruses. If your computer is clean then post back and we will try to find another solution.
