Simple networking with 2 computers don't work!

I’m trying to set up a real simple network – two computers connected thru a crossover cable, but I can’t do it, it looks like (Hey, it’s my first time!). I keep getting the “limited or no connectivity” message, and I can’t share files across the cable. I’m not even trying to share an internet connection or printer rights or anything, just the transfer of files form A to B, and it won’t work. Can someone guide me thru this, PLZ?! BTW, both machines are on Win XP Pro.

Did you use the network setup wizard? Did it report any problem while creating the network setup? Did you reboot the machines after you were done? Did you make sure both workgroups on both computers have the same name?
