Hello! I have bought Sound Blaster 5.1 card. Until now, I only had onboard sound. So, I need help. Can you tell me should I disable onboard sound before installing a Sound Blaster 5.1 card? I have asked around about this, but everything I found is not quite understandable for me, if you know what I mean.

Hello! You can disable onboard sound before you install your Sound Blaster 5.1 card, but that is snot necessary. I, usually, install first sound card and then disable in BIOS onboard sound. So, as you can se, no matter what you do first, it is only important to do that. I hope that this is now clear for you.
