During my virus-checking sessions I found one virus which is called killit. Should I remove it? It has no effect on my system stability, but I would rather delete it. I searched the internet and I didnt find any information about killit. If it isnt a virus, what is it? Windows task manager reports that its activated all the time although it doesnt require much memory. My kaspersky is offering me two options. Delete it and Try to remove it. Which one should choose? Any advice?

Killit has something to do with HP products. I think it can cause your system to fail if you remove it. Its not Trojan and its certainly not a virus. Ill give you the command line which you can use remove killit. Go to start-run and type c:\ho\bin\kil. It will log off your computer and turn off potentially unwanted application. Are you a HP user, do you have printer or a scanner? It could be one of HP recovery tools. Go to start run and type msconfig. This is system configuration utility which you can use to delete start up applications. Go to start up menu and remove unwanted file. You will see the message restart you system or so. Click on the reset button, and system will reboot. Malicious file is now disabled.
