I have two computers at my home and I have connected them to a simple network over a hub. I would like to be able to share files between these two computers so I do not have to burn files on CD to transfer them around. Can you tell me in a few steps how to share files on Windows XP Professional?

It is really easy. Find folders or files you want to share and right click on them. In the pop up menu choose sharing and security. In the window that shows check Share this folder on the network in the Network Sharing and Security group box. Click OK button and you will see that folder has a hand icon under it. This means your folder is shared on the network. Repeat this with all files/folders you like to share.
