Hello, I have a network-related question. What would it take to connect a pair of desktop computers running Windows XP so that they share a single internet connection? I'm looking for the easiest way there is, without having to by a router or some other complicated hardware. I heard there was some program in XP called Sharing Internet Connections, but I can't find it. Any help is appreciated, TIA.

If you're on Win XP, you should already have ICS (internet connection sharing). Just run the network wizard (or whatever it's called) and it should get you there. It's the cheapest, simplest solution there is. You need a pair of network cards and one crossover cable, no hubs, switches, or routers. Of course, there are downsides, but it costs you nothing to try it this way, and if you're not happy with ICS you can always go out and by that router Wink
