| Hello there. I just don’t know how to share the cable link to one more computer at my home. I do have network hub, I have configured the IP addresses, network shares, everything, but the internet link just won’t work on both computers. I am sure that I did everything as it is supposed to be so, but I am also sure that I missed something somewhere. Is anybody willing to tell me where? Thanks. |

| I think that it won’t work like with the DSL sharing my friend. Only one IP address is available for the cable internet. Internet Connection sharing in this case requires one more Ethernet card plugged in the computer where the Cable router is configured. One PC goes directly to the HUB from the network card. The other one, where two network adapters are, requires a network bridge. Then, one network card connects directly to the HUB, and the other to the Router. This means that the PC where the router is attached to, requires to be powered on, when you want internet access on the other machine. All of this just because there is only one Mac address available per router for this type of connection. |
