I'm having trouble setting up a Dell laptop on an existing network ran through the NRO41 router. I'm not sure I got through the install process OK, because I first tried running the setup from start on the laptop, and when that didn't work, had to do the "setup more PCs" thing from one of the desktops. Now I keep getting disconnected on the laptop, says there's a bad cable and then connects again; tried different cables, no change. Any ideas?

I'd say this has nothing to do with the way you performed the installation (which sounds perfectly standard to me anyway). This sounds more like a hardware problem of some sort – if it's not the cable itself, maybe it's another part. Check the network card and the ports on the router. Also, you may want to try adding a hub or adapter of some kind between the two, sometimes this clears up conflicts w/port settings.
