| Hello. I have very interesting task to perform. I want to connect from my laptop directly to my printer without using any cable. I need help a lot. Dont ask me why I want to do this. My house is huge, and sometimes when I am in a bed, working with a notebook To cut the story, I need few answers, what kind of equipment Ill need for this and is it way too difficult to set the printer for this? Thanks in advance. |

| Hi. All you need is a wireless card for your laptop, WiFi router and a hub. Your printer must have hardware options for this. Hardware demands are not so cheap for your situation, and it can be done, which mostly depends on your printer. This is short term explanation: Plug your printer to a switch (existing or not). Plug in your wireless router to a switch with the printer. Set up the IP address for a printer, make connection between your laptop and router. Or you can try with Printer directly to a WIFI router if you choose a model with the ordinary LAN ports. Anyway, this whole procedure requires some more administrating knowledge. |
