I dont know if I have made some mistake. Or maybe is there some settings that I have to do. Can someone help me?

Self built external HDD is a great thing, and I must buy it definitely. My friend has it, and he is very satisfied. But, I dont know what can be your problem. I can only guess. Have you looked in BIOS ? You said that Window recognized HDD. How is it marked in BIOS-like master or slave? If is master try making it a slave. If that doesnt work you should log in as administrator and go to Administrator tools. Then you will have to go to Computer management and then to Drive management. There you will be able to create new drive. If that doesnt help, I really dont know what can be the problem.
