Hello. I have subscribed for wireless internet account. I know that there is difference between LAN and WIFI in many things. Radio signal and wire transmission. I have used LAN before. I also heard that there are much more security holes when using WiFi internet access, and that is much more harder to secure own WiFI connection, than to secure the LAN interface. One good way is encryption of wireless data packets, but I dont know how to do it. Does anybody knows? Thanks.

Well, I know few things about encryption. First there are two different types. Public-key and Symmetric encryption. For the Symmetric encryption, there is one key used to encrypt and to decrypt the message or packet. While in Public-key encryption or asymmetric, two keys are used. One for, may I say, in, and other for out. I think you first must apply the encryption settings inside your Windows Explorer for every folder you wish to share. The person which is receiving or expecting the files from you, must know the correct key. Otherwise, only you can open or edit the archive, file, etc.
