Hello. I really have some things on my mind bothering me for some time. I know that almost every router has it’s own built in firewall. Mine does also. Well, I am curious about what is going to happen if I turn that firewall off, because I am using Zone Alarm pro as a software firewall solution installed. I think that my performance is degraded somehow by using both of them. How much safe can it be if I turn off the router firewall? Thanks in advance.

Hello. Well, just don’t do that. Because hardware firewall solution is much better than any other software substitute. It is built there for a reason, and present by the default. Anyway, there is a solution if you are saying that your computer suffers because some performance degrading. Try using some other firewall instead of Zone Alarm Pro. Some lite and free firewall utility. There are few of them for download.
