SONY DVD RW DRU-820A can read not write

hello! I have Sony DVD-RW DRU-820A. I have for sometime this drive and I can tell you that is very good. But, since yesterday i have a small problem with it. It is able to read cds and dvds, but it is not able to write. Is something wrong with my win XP OS?

Hello! Your operating system is just fine, but your dvd-rw is not. You have a trouble with lasers which are used for writing. I suggest you to take your drive on repair. Or maybe better would be buying new dvd-rw drive, because they are not expensive now. I hope this helps you!
