I have a dilemma regarding SATA and IDE hard drives set together in one computer; I have a motherboard that supports SATA but I have IDE drive attached to it. I am looking to buy additional hard drive as I need more storage and would like to buy SATA hard drive. Can I set them together because I do not want to part from perfectly good IDE hard drive?

Hello there. Mixing SATA and IDE drives is perfectly legal and possible. Mostly it depends on your motherboard (you should consult motherboard manual for this) but all motherboards I have seen have ability to mix these two types. So, you can buy this new SATA drive and connect it together with your existing IDE drive.
