Hey people I have missing HDD case! I installed my new SATA Western Digital HDD, and it wasn’t recognized. I am using BTW Windows XP OS. I did all the usual drill for setting it up. During the first part of the setup, it actually recognized new HDD, size of my new drive but when I tried to make a new exe. for drive partition, after downloading the drivers for Win XP, using the bootable CD and installing the drivers, it said that setup can’t be maybe because it can’t access the drive?! So now I feel all lost, will be nice if anyone could help me to exit from this impossible current situation!

Hello! Don’t get so desperate, mate. I am guessing that one is not something that can’t be fixed. Would be nice to share your PC configuration so we all here don’t shoot in the dark. BIOS not registering it at all? In case you have some other HDD on your PC - this one is now your slave or maybe a master drive? Is SATA enabled at all? I don’t know have you tried to update your AMI BIOS. See me shooting in the dark, share more facts.
