| I have recently bought a new computer and I would like to protect it from various viruses as much as possible. I have read about many antivirus programs, and I have decided to get two of them as it seems to me it would be a good idea to be as safe as possible. However, I am not sure if it is a good idea to run two programs of the same kind at the same time. If anyone could give me any suggestions, it would be great. |

| It seems to me that many beginners believe they will be more protected if they put more antivirus programs on their computer. Actually, that is not the case. Quite the opposite, the two antivirus programs would have conflicts with each other, and it is most likely that, not only neither of them will perform as it should, it could lead to serious slow-downs of your system and less protection. The best thing you can do is to do a thorough research and choose one program that will protect your computer against viruses, but also other malicious software like spyware or adware, for example. |
