Router is losing connectivity

I’m having some problems with my Netgear MR814 router that I have at home. It’s not such a big deal but it is a bit irritating and I’d just like to know why this is happening. The thing is that, at least once a day I loose the connection as if someone has plugged the cable out. The only thing that helps is to unplug the power for a few minutes and then it’s back again. Any ideas?

I had similar problems. I tried various things and most of them didn’t help at all. I updated the firmware and this is the only thing that did anything – instead of this happening 5 times a day, it was just once or two times a day. But in the end it turned out that my ISP was having some technical difficulties all the time and when they fixed it, my problem was gone too. I hope that it’s the same thing with you and not some weird router problem.
