Hello! I have made a small home network. I have a router, too. I have heard sometime somewhere that router can be used as firewall. If that is true, please, tell me how. Also, I want to know, if I use router as firewall is that means that I do not need firewall software. I am thanking you in advance!

Hello! Router can be used as firewall. You just to need close most ports on it. But, I must tell you that router cannot change firewall program. Router cannot prevent you of catching malicious software for known addresses or e-mails. So, beside router, you will need good firewall, antivirus and antyspyware programs.
