| I have recently installed Azureus, a program which should help me download some files in torrent format. Some of my friends posted their photos from holiday and I look forward to seeing them. However, I am not able to download it, as I constantly get a message about port problems. I have router and it seems to me that it might be making a problem, but I simply do not know how to fix it. If anyone could help, that would be great. |

| Problems with downloading files in such programs when you have a router is not uncommon. You will have to configure your router so that it can allow communication of your computer with the Internet through the specific port. First, choose which port you want to open. You can basically open any between 0-65000, but those between 10000 and 50000 are probably the best choice. Go to Azureus, and under ''settings'' select a port number, say 30000. After that, open your browser, and just in the address bar write your routers IP address. It should lead you to the router configuration screen. When you locate the correct set of options (where exactly is its location on that screen depends from one kind of router to the other), in the ''port number'' enter 30000 and enter the name of the application that will be using that one. That should solve your problems. |
