I know its silly but I recorded some very important data on a floppy. Unfortunately Ive just discovered that the floppy disk is corrupted and that I cant read form it. I dont know what to do and how to recover the data. Is there a program that can enable read from corrupted disks or at least save the data to another storage device?
You should know better than that! Its a very tricky issue, because sometimes you cant recover your data even from the HDD. There are programs such as Data Recovery, but none of them can guarantee you complete recovery. I think that you should bring that floppy to the service where competent professionals will look into it and try to save the data with certain advanced techniques and programs. Nest time save your data to something more reliable from a floppy. Record everything important to a CD or DVD-R and be sure to turn on verifying option in order to check the disc again. But before all that, try your floppy disk on some other PC because your floppy device may be broken.
