Restore Disk?

My father is having some trouble with his HP Pavilion machine and neither him nor me know a lot about computers. He thinks that he needs restore disk but he doesn’t know where and how to get one. I know this is probably a stupid question for most of you people here who are experts on computers but I’d really appreciate some help. Thanks in advance!

I think that the only way to do this is to contact the manufacturer. You need to know the exact model of you computer and under which OS it’s running so that they can send you the proper restore disk. If your machine is a bit older, this might prove to be a difficult task since even the manufacturer might not have such restore disks anymore. Anyway, as far as I’ve heard, HP’s support system is pretty quick when it comes to supplying restore disks and they should cost about 20 $.
