| Greetings. There is no replacement, just enabling and disabling the onboard sound. The option for enabling/disabling integrated sound card is inside the BIOS. Built-in Input/output Operating System. Depends on your motherboard, maybe you won’t need to enter the BIOS at all or to change anything. Just plug in your new sound card to the PCI slot, and after new hardware detection, you can continue with installing drivers. If something goes wrong and there is no sound at all, then there is a problem with your motherboard resources or IRQ sharing. This means, you must disable the onboard sound first. By the way, I do have two sound cards working as well together, and I have no conflicts at all. |
