I have a CRT monitor for several years now, so you can say it is pretty old. However, recently it started breaking down. Its picture became fuzzy, sometimes the colors started dominating over each other, so the part of the screen was all-red, or blue, etc. I would like to know is it worth it repairing this monitor, or I should simply get one.

When monitors have problems with, say, showing right colors, that usually means a cable was not properly plugged in, or that it plugged out a bit, so the connection to monitor is not correct. These sorts of things can be repaired withing hours. However, I tend to think that with fuzzy picture in addition to the color problem, there could be some bigger problem with the monitor. It is not that it is difficult repairing it, but it is relatively certain that its end is near. It is probably better to by a new monitor, CRT of some other type (I would recommend LCD). Best of luck.

hi, Smile
I thought you should not repair the monitor, the money for you repair a old one is not worthy to bought a new one. The screen picture is fuzzy and have some color problem is the most big problem with the monitor. I agree with the idea of norris. Why not search on the website for a new one. Maybe you could find your needs. Good luck!
