I have not used this laptop for two and half years. I have finally found it a role in my home network but when I tried to power it on I found out that there is password set in BIOS. Of, course, after so long time I have forgot what password I have placed on BIOS. Is there any way to remove BIOS password in laptop?
There are several ways, actually. Unfortunately, all of them require disassembling laptop. Open you r laptop and find out if there is clear CMOS jumper on laptop motherboard (you can consult manual for this). If there is then just take off jumper and wait for a few seconds to place it back. This will clear CMOS. Alternatively, you can take out CMOS battery and wait for some time (usually few minutes) for CMOS to clear.
