I got a notebook last month as a birthday present from my parents. They also installed me an ADSL Internet connection. A neighbor installed me software for movie downloading. That software was BitTorrent. At start, everything worked fine. However, since yesterday, my Internet connection is too slow. I manage to found out that I have some Trojan virus on my computer. However, my removing of Trojan file was unsuccessful.

From your symptoms, I am almost completely certain that you have a virus from either Downloader or Trojan category. The main job of viruses from those categories is to gain access to content of hdd on your computer to his owner. That is the common problem for Torrent users. I had to reinstall my Windows XP two times because of virus problems. However, at last I found out what is the cure and that cure is also an answer to your question. The cure for that problem is combination of AVG and Seagate firewall. First, use AVG from the Safe mode of your XP to clean all viruses from your computer. After that, install Seagate and I think that will reduce your problems.
