Recovery for Advent 7111 Notebook

Hello. Could someone please tell me how to access the recovery console on the Advent 7111 laptop? I need to know how to activate it because it got corrupted after a hard shutdown (power button) and now it won't boot up, just says "un-mountable boot volume". Any help is appreciated, thx

If I'm reading this right, you're looking for the recovery console and not the in-built recovery tools? The recovery console is a tool found on the Windows XP installation disc, so you'll need to have it in the drive and start the boot process off it. Press "R" when it offers the start the recovery console.
