Hello! I have bought new Maxtor 120 GB hard drive. I know that I must format it if I want to use it. So, I have a question regarding that. I want to install windows XP operating system on it and have only one partition. Please, tell me on what ways I can format this hard drive. I know that there is some third part tool, but is there any easier way. Thanks!

Hello! You can use Partition magic program for formatting and partitioning hard drives. It is third part utility. But, I think that it would be easier for you if you use your XP installation disc in this purpose. When you boot your installation cd and reboot computer you only need to follow wizard for partitioning and installing.
