I have a problem with accessing a domain workgroup on my Windows 2003 server. I have been using computer for few years and I never had any problem. Since yesterday, I cannot manage to connect to my office server. Whenever I try I get an error with loading CatRoot files. A friend told me that network firewall is probably blocking my access. What is the problem?

If you did not install some new programs or drivers at your computer lately, I do not think that your problem is connected to the operating system of your computer. I also don't think that your system really cannot load catalog files unless your HDD is damaged. Maybe you have some virus or malware on your computer. That is probably the reason why your network firewall will not let you access to the domain on your server. I think you should do a complete check of your computer. For that problem, you have to install few programs. For anti-spyware software, I would recommend you to download and install SpyBot Search and Destroy. For anti-virus software, I can recommend you AVG. Both of those programs are freewares and very efficient.
