I need a good video card for gaming. Actually, it’s not for me but for my infantile boyfriend who just can’t get enough of them. It’s his birthday soon and I know that he wants a new graphics card. Can you suggest me a couple of models of cards that support the new, demanding games? I don’t know the first thing about PC hardware, so I guess that I can make a mistake.

There’s only one card that I want to suggest you - XFX GeForce 7950 GX2 XXX. It rules! As you know, graphic cards for gaming are very demanding because new games are visually very advanced and they need to be supported. One of the most important things is that it has 1GB of cumulative graphics memory. It supports 64-bit motherboards and operative systems. But you can’t just go and buy him this card. First you have to find out something about his PC, because this card is AMD platform compatible. It also requires power supply of 400W or even higher in order to work properly. But the good thing is that this card is designed to be suitable for both Mac and PCs, and it has even support for Linux.
