| Hello. I have installed Knoppix Linux on my system together with the Windows XP before it. Luckily, I have figured how to make partitions from the start, and I didnt screwed anything. That is pure coincidence, because I really know how to screw things for the first time. Anyway, I dont like the way I created partitions on my drive for Knoppix, so I want to make some changes, but how? And is it recommendable? Thanks in advance. |

| Hello there. Yes it is recommendable, why the hell not? You have two options, to re-create the partitions from the same text based interface as you did at the install by typing the parted in condole. Or you can use (recommended) QTparted. Type qtparted to start the application. Qtparted is graphical application for manipulating with the hard drive. Something like Partition Magic for Windows. You cant use it without mouse, but it is much easier to do from within. |
