Programme for check .avi files for errors

Hello! I need program for checking avi files errors. I have a several avi movies and I used to burn few avi files in dvd media, but because of some errors I have lost last time 8 dvds. Where I can find mentioned program? Have you eve used it and what do you think about it? Thank you very much on your efforts to help me!

Hello! Never mind. I use great program, Video Inspector. This program checks all of video files and errors on them. You will now, when you installed it and run scan, which file is damaged, what is not able to provide (sound, picture). It will be helpful when you decided to install codecs, too, because it will find which one you have and which one you need.
