I am using Netgear router with my Laptop. Hardware configuration is built so it can transfer loads of data safely and fast. My wireless connection is set up so it uses router for traffic filtering. While I was playing starcraft online, something happened. Router began to disconnect, and red led on it shined. Red led is suppouse to verify data transfer. So, basically means that it if it turns read, connection is bad. Anyone?

| Here is the problem. You didnt allow dsl transfer. That is it. When you disable dl feature system goes off. Well, in most cases. You obviously had luck. If your router sees the dsl is disabled it will try to transfer files differently. If that fails red led is going to be on. For star craft, there is a dls limitation, so you cant use proxy. Files are being transferred with router and router doesnt know how to use proxy settings. Your router works fine, you only need to set up the connection properly. Prepare for a serious documentation searching. Netgear is a big router so it has a lot if options. Its manual contains information about software, installation and speed settings. Connection issue can be found in local section, I suppose. Your hardware configuration doesnt play important role in internet transfer. Everything goes trough router. |
