I have a strange problem with my modem. I bought whole components for my new PC and I wanted to compose them together by myself. I did almost everything without any problem. I plug my modem at the end because I thought that it would be the easiest part for applying. But now I have a problem with modem setup. It wouldn't work. What could I do?

There are some faster and more time-consuming options you could try. First solution you could quickly do is to reconnect your telephone cable in another socket on the modem because sometimes manufacturer made an error in signing sockets. If that don't work try to move your modem to another slot. You should also try to borrow somewhere the same model as yours and try that one. If that one works then your modem is damage. You should also try to borrow another brand modem and try that in your machine. There are some modems that simply will not work with some chipsets like Lucent and nForce. If nothing of that work, you have to try some more consuming solutions like reinstalling operating system.
