I have a computer for last two years. In the last two months, I repaired my PSU's two times. Computer specialist who repaired it told me that I have a problem with +12v rail limits on my PSU and I should think about getting some good UPS to prevent further damage. Could anybody give me some good UPS recommendation? Share with me your experience, please.

If you live in a building, it is almost impossible that your problem is caused by electricity. However, getting an UPS (unstoppable power supply) is never a waste of money. There are, basically, two types of UPS. There are back UPS and smart UPS. Back UPS have the main function to provide power in the case of power failure and to protect the computer. Smart UPS have additional possibilities. It could, in the case of power failure, give your PC the command to save all your work and shut down regularly. When it comes to the manufacturer, there is couple of good brands. The most popular one and also the most expensive is definitely american brand - the APC. However, I personally have Informguard UPS, which serves me well for a few years for almost half of the price of APC.
