I have recently installed Oblivion. However, I could not get it to work. It installed successfully. I have also managed to enter into main menu. Unfortunately, when I start a new game, it just crashes and returns me to system. I have Pentium 3ghz, 512mb of RAM and GeForce Fx 5200 video card. I am not sure if some of these components are problematic, so if anyone could give me any suggestions, that would be great.

Oblivion is a pretty stable game and you should not experience any bugs. It is also pretty demanding one, so it is almost certain one of your components is not strong enough to run it. I can tell you right away it is your video card. It is simply not good enough to run it. Although there were some small programs that enable Oblivion to run on weaker computers (like Oldblivion, for example), I would not recommend you to do that, as it can destabilize the game. My suggestion is you go and buy at least a bit stronger card if you really want to play the game (and you should, as it is fantastic).
