I just installed Windows ME and I wanted to install Office 2003. But it seems that they’re in some kind of conflict. I can’t even start installing. I get an error message saying that I need a newer version of windows. Why is this happening? Is there a way to fix this?

I heard that ME has problems with a lot of different software. So if I were you I would have installed Win2000. But if you really want to have ME maybe you should try looking for updates, if there are any. I didn’t quite understand when does the error message appear. Office 2003 has auto-run and the installation should start on its own. Maybe there’s something wrong with your ME installation and if you don’t have the win2000 or you don’t want to install it, you could try reinstalling ME. Was I of any help?
