Hello. We need to share Excel files so several people can enter data at the same time. We are compiling daily reports and there are many entries during a day from every employee so circulating single Excel file through e-mail is not a good option. On the other hand, when two users try to open same Excel file in the shared folder the get error message that this file is already in use. Is there solution for our problem?

Hi. There is a simple solution for your problem with sharing Excel files. Open Excel file, go to “Tools” menu and select “Share Workbook”. Dialog box will pop up and you have to click “Editing” tab. Select “Allow changes by more than one user at the same time “option. Click “Advanced” tab and select “Automatically” for every option and click OK. Now all users will be able to enter data simultaneously.
