I'm having difficulty enabling printer sharing on my house network. I'm using a new LinkSys modem (previously I had it working on an ancient hub), and I think I have it set up correctly for everything but printer sharing. Other than that, the LAN is functional I can ping by name or IP, file transfer works, etc. But I don't know why printer sharing doesn't. Any help?

Well, you would have to give us more than that. What printer are you using, what model router, what OS, what's the network setup like, stuff like that. Speaking from what little you've already told us, I can only recommend that you try offing your firewalls to see if that's what's blocking printer sharing. If it works with firewalls down, you need to but them back up and configure to allow access to the correct addresses.
