Preventing all programs running on startup?

Hello! I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 operating system and I can tell you that it slowly boots because there are many programs in startup. So, I am wondering now if there is any way for preventing all programs running on startup. If there is, please tell me how to disable those programs. Thank you in advance!

Hello! Yes, there is few ways, but I will explain you the easiest one: click Start, then Run and type there msconfig and click OK button. System Configuration Utility dialog box will appear. Click on Startup tab and just uncheck all of the programs which are listed there. That is how you will prevent their running on startup.
