| I got a wireless broadband connection just recently, and my wireless router is covering a wide area, at least a couple hundred feet. As I understand it, my neighbours could just tune in and siphon off my wireless traffic unhindered, and I wouldn't even know it, is that right? How do I stop this from happening? |

| Well, a well-mannered neighbor will offer to chip in for the connection expenses, but still if you want to cut them all off, you'll need to configure your router's security settings to encrypt the signal. The most common approach is to set up a WPA or WEP password, which will prevent unauthorized access in most cases. |
