Hi! I want to set the battery alarm on my PC. A friend described to me how this should be done and so I went to Control Panel, clicked ‘Power Options’, but the tabs he mentioned I should go to, the ‘alarm’ tab and the ‘power meter’ tab aren’t there. What is wrong with my computer? Or did I misunderstand my friend’s instructions? Any help would be appreciated!

These ‘Power options’ are just not the same on every computer. What your friend has described you is probably how it looks like on his PC but it doesn’t necessarily mean you can do it the same way or that you can do it at all. As far as I know Power Options can automatically detect and then show you only those options that you can control. And if you don’t get these tabs, that can only mean that you can’t set the battery alarm. Sorry!
