| There are several possible reasons that could cause your problem with Plextor drive. First, it could be an error in the process of downloading. Your XP update file might be damaged. You could try to download it one more time and than try to open it again. Second, you might not have a proper version of OS installed on your computer. Your version of update could be for some other version of Windows. In that case, you have to find and download a proper version for your version of Windows. Third reason for your problem could be that your updates need some other service pack. If that is your problem, you need to find out what are those things, download and install them first. Personally, I do not think that your problem with Plextor have anything with that update. Your CD head is probably near the end of its lifetime and you should think about changing your CD ROM. |
