| This means that you need the permission form the administrator of the network because accessing printers and other hardware and changing their settings is not allowed to ordinary users of the network. So, you can either ask the administrator of the network to change names of the printers or you can ask him to give you the permission to do that. If you have installed the printers yourself, you should have the permission. I don’t think that this procedure is complicated; maybe you should just know the password that was set during the installation process. So, in order to check you permissions, you should click on the printer you want and then under the properties tab, select security and enter your user name. If this doesn’t work, then maybe you forgot your password or you don’t know it. |
