Performance differences in ethernet cards?

Hello! I have home network (two computers). On one of these computers network card became broken and I have installed older one network card. Since then I have problems with networking. So, I assume that this is something connected with performance differences in Ethernet cards, right? Thank you in advance!

Hello! I think that your problem is your newly installed network card. I mean, older network cards have probably 10 Mb/s, and that is what slows down your network. Also, you should not be surprised if your network fails. I suggest you to buy new network card because speed of newer network cards is 100 Mb/s and when you install it you will notice difference.
