Pentium M vs. Athlon 64?

We need to buy some laptops here at the office I’m working in and we were just wondering weather it would be better to buy a Pentium M or Athlon 64? I’d like if someone would give us a bit more info on this, not just say: ‘This one is better’ without any explanation. I hope this is not too much to ask. Thanks in advance!

Well, I’ll try to give you some more info on this topic but I doubt it will help you much. I know that people are usually worried about battery life when it comes to laptops so first I’ll tell you that Pentium M has a really long battery life. But when it comes to performance, I’d always choose AMD. And since they’re launching some new 64bit mobile processors soon, I’ll wait a bit and buy that.
